About Pace Reader

Pace Reader is a free tool for reading text-based PDFs one word at a time while keeping your place on the original page.

Why it exists

Long documents can be difficult to concentrate on. Pace Reader gives the text a steady rhythm and keeps the current word visible, while the whole-page view helps you remember where you are in the document.

Designed for focus

You can change the reading speed, add natural pauses after punctuation and use an optional Pomodoro timer. The word reader and PDF-page highlighting stay synchronized.

Private by design

Your chosen PDF is processed inside your browser. Pace Reader does not upload or store the document. It currently works best with PDFs containing selectable text.
