Open a document

Choose a PDF or drop it into the upload area. The document stays on your device and is read by your browser.

Use the word reader

Set your words per minute and select Start. Previous, Next and Restart let you move through the text. The full-screen button gives the current word more space.

Keep your place

The whole-page reader highlights the current word on the original PDF page. Select a word on that page to jump directly to it.

Scanned PDFs

Pace Reader needs selectable text. If the PDF contains only photographed or scanned pages, it needs optical character recognition (OCR) before the words can be read.

Troubleshooting

• Use a valid PDF smaller than 100 MB.
• Remove password protection before opening the file.
• Try refreshing the page if the PDF-reading library did not load.
• For the best experience, use a current version of a major browser.
